This woman is crazy. I only watch the auditions for American Idol, but I know from the people at my office that Jordin is a great singer. And this barbie doll says that America shouldn't vote for her because she's a bad role model - because she's FAT!

MeMe Roth has gotten a lot of slack for this interview, and she just released a statement saying she stands by her opinion, but denies she ever called Jordin 'obese'.

Jordin, in my opinion, is a little chubby - which is a far cry from 'obese'. And though MeMe never flatly states Jordin is obese, the fact that she's concerned about America's obesity problem and declaring we should not vote for Jordin because it exacerbates the problem = calling Jordin 'obese'.

Watch the clip and tell me what you think. Should we vote based on skill? Is Jordin a bad role model?

I agree with you. I think the girl is crazy, just to say that she is overweight and that she sees diabetes, and more risk of heart diseases. Statistically speaking she might be right, but she is not seeing that (statistically speaking again) dark skin colour people have less risk of skin cancer, and are stronger in health than white people are. Isn't being blonde, white and blue eyes on the middle or low average of people who have weaker immune systems?

So is she saying that society should be all black, perfectly weight, all MIT graduates?

Or perhaps she is just saying that everyone in TV should be like that.. hmm that makes me think of ethics of advertisement then, should we really be showing images of a woman with perfect skin, no pimples, no nothing on magazines?

Is a good philosophically discussion.

I wonder what she does for a living?
