This week I decided to try and eat right. I read a lot about people doing 'cleanses' to detoxify their system. Unfortunately, all these 'cleanses' state you couldn't eat meat (one said you couldn't eat meat, carbs or fruits, except bananas. That's crazy! Where are you getting your energy from, then?) so I decided to skip those and do my own little cleanse.
I decided this week to only eat good foods and try my best to follow Canada's food guide. That means a dramatic increase of my fruits and veggies intake and no chips, fried foods, candies or CHOCOLATE! I'm not doing this to lose weight, but to maintain a healthier lifestyle and feel more energetic. Also, after my wonderful cottage trip, I felt I needed to cleanse (we ate like pigs that week!). I guess you could say I need to get rid of all the 'hot air' (yeet hay) in my system.
I really didn't notice much of a difference until this morning. I slept really early last night (10:45pm) and I slept really well (still woke up to pee twice, though. Some things don't change). I know I won't be able to avoid sweets forever (I cheated yesterday and ate half a chocolate ginger cookie), but I think I'm going to try to keep the sweets to the weekends (like my coffee intake) and eat healthy during the weekdays.

Wow that sounds like a great thing to do... although I know I couldn't do the same. Just too many yummy snacks to tempt me in HK. Spicy fishballs... egg tarts... french toast bites. Not saying it's impossible to keep a healthy diet in HK... just difficult... haha...
Yeah, but in HK, there's so much walking and heat that you just sweat it off!
