A bunch of little things..

A couple of things that don't relate to each other, but I wanted to blog about:

1) AFI came out with their newest Top 100 US Films yesterday. I decided to print out the list and highlight the movies I've actually seen (I am such a geek). 29/100. Wow. That's not much. I'm going to keep this list with me for those nights when I can't find anything to watch on TV.

2) I had heard about this new 'nutrition on speed dial' service from Osaka, Japan, but was surprised to find that something similar exists in Canada, too. Basically, you take a photo of your food and send it to this company. They will then compile a nutritional report on your food intake. You can check your food diary online, with results coming back to you in a day or two. Apparently, they even give you hints on how you can change your meal to make it healthier. Cool! The Canadian version is called: http://www.myfoodphone.com/ The report from them comes weekly and costs $9.99 USD. I'm sure eventually, they'll be able to send you the info in seconds. That would be awesome. Though a little obsessive.

3) The radio station at work comes through my phone and unfortunately, I cannot change the channel. Though they don't tend to repeat their everyday playlist, they do like to play their top picks about twice a day. And that is how I end up hearing the most annoying song on the radio twice a day, EVERYDAY. That song would be Rihanna's 'Umbrella', the much touted '2007 summer song'. I hate it! How can this year's summer song contain lyrics like this:

..'ella.. 'ella..
eh.. eh.. eh..

Are you kidding me? I've got to start listening to online radio stations more.

4) I got promoted! I went from Account Manager to Junior Account Director (though my card just says 'Account Director', because, as my president puts it: it sounds hokey when you add the 'Junior'). I am very pleased with this promotion because I actually skipped a level. I was hoping to be Sr. Account Manager! Yay. Now I just have to make sure I don't get fired.

5) I'm going golfing tomorrow with Client. ha ha. I haven't golfed since Last year's golf tournament and it was pretty ugly. I hit my ball on the first hole and it went to the green of the 18th hole. oops. Hopefully tomorrow it works out better.

6) I am a little too obsessed with my DS. Got some new games and I'm loving it (especially 'bust a move'). I even played my first game of sudoku on it last night. It was pretty cool. Kinda like 'minesweeper'. No wonder so many people play it. By the way, my brain age was 31 yesterday. So much better than 80. :)
