The 'White' Curse

I've always thought that crisp white clothing was one of the most flattering looks for the summer. Against some sun kissed skin - even better. For guys - it's a crisp, white shirt, sleeves rolled up, top 2 buttons undone. For girls - white sundresses, of course.

Though I love this look, I've never been able to wear a white sundress. This is because I know, I just KNOW that I will spill something on it. Somehow, the day I wear white will be the day my pen will drop on my skirt. Or the Timmy's cup will spit up coffee when I open the lip.

My good friend, Ness, has been trying to help dispel my fears. And so, after watching her buy a gorgeous white shirt dress, I decided to try white, too. I eased into it by buying a cream coloured dress. So pretty!

Today was the first day I wore it. I went to the Client's first thing in the morning and bought a coffee. I was telling myself to 'be careful not to spill' as I placed my cup down. Too bad there was a bump on the table and the whole thing dumped on the floor! But guess what? The scolding hot coffee only got all over my shoes and legs. None of it got on the dress!

Maybe the curse is lifted. I'll know for sure after I finish eating some cherries. Yes, Cherries. I'm totally playing with fire.
