Itchy & Scratchy!

Yesterday, I spent my evening in a walk in clinic. I got red bumps all down my back and front. Itchy, itchy, too. I took antihistamines but they didn't work. I had a brief episode where I freaked out and thought I had bed bugs, but Gary pointed out that he didn't have any bites, which put an end to that (too bad he wasn't up at 4am when I was going nuts and googling 'bed bug bites'. A voice of reason would have been good at that hour when I was FREAKING). I have so many bumps that I even started to wonder if I had Chicken Pox (which I don't).

Since the bumps appeared on Thursday (just a few) and then exploded by the end of the weekend, I decided to see a doctor. My regular GP couldn't see me on such short notice, so I went to a walk in. And the guy was USELESS. For one thing, he didn't want to see my back, stopping me once I lifted my shirt a few inches. Then, based on this quick view from across the exam room, he tells me they are mosquito bites. REALLY?? I got THAT MANY bites?

And what about the fact that the bumps are only on the 'trunk' of my body? Nothing on the arms and legs? He said, 'Sometimes mosquitos can get caught in your clothing'. I wanted to PUNCH him. Especially since I waited over an
hour and paid $15 for parking. He totally just wanted to go home.

Lukily, I'm not contagious (as Gary still has NO Bites). And none of these dots have appeared on my face. A few have now spread to my neck, and near my jaw, but not on the face!

Hopefully, the doctor I see tomorrow will take me a little more seriously.
