iPods can be embarrassing

Most of us in the office have an iPod (though the generations vary - those creative guys always seem to have the latest gadget) and we all hook them up to our office iTunes network thingy. Which is cool, because we can then listen to everyone else's songs. And we're always on the lookout for new and/or different songs to listen to (I'm currently addicted to 'Belle and Sabastian' and 'Death Cab for Cutie'.

So the other day I'm having a meeting with two of my co-workers when one of them asks what I'm listening to. My iTunes was set on shuffle, and at that moment, Blur was playing. The meeting continued with the guys stopping again to comment on another one of my songs that started. Anyway - to my extreme embarrassment, a song came on that all of us decided to very pointedly ignored: Skeelo's, 'I Wish'.

We're all sitting there, discussing how to change the layout of the packaging to have more branding, while in the background Skeelo is singing:

I wish I were a little bit Taller..
I wish I were a Baller..

Did I mention that my new co-worker is about 4'11?? Ai ya. Since that part of the song is in the chorus, it played often. At one part, he just repeats those two lines over and over again.

I've gotta remember to turn down my music the next time I have a meeting.
