I've read some crazy things before, but this takes the cake. There's a big movement now to change the traditional 'Santa' and make him politically correct. For one thing - he's not supposed to be fat and jolly anymore. Santa's are setting a bad example for being obese. Apparently, all over the States, the people who've always played Santa in the malls are now being asked to trim down!! I thought this whole thing was pretty stupid - as I didn't really think any kid was going to look up to Santa that much that they wanted to become him. Oh, and did I mention, Santa isn't real!
But I just read something even stupider. A company in Austrailia are now asking their Santas to say 'Ha Ha Ha' instead of 'Ho Ho Ho' as 'Ho' also has the meaning of 'whore' in rap.
Seriously - if you heard, 'ho ho ho', are you really going to think Santa's calling a whore?? Anyway, there's quite a few anti-movements now to keep the traditional Santa. Here's a great one from a company in Toronto. The poem is priceless.
