Got a call last night from Dub telling me that HP7 was released on the internet. While that kinda sucked, I didn't really dwell on it. Really, it's like when a pirated movie is available for download on the internet early. Besides, I knew all my fellow Potter readers wouldn't go to the site, and those who don't read HP, wouldn't bother. So no worries.
HOWEVER, this morning on the radio they stated that various news agencies have actually released the ending of the book!! Are you kidding me?? They actually interviewed the Star and they stated that they felt this was 'news' and so decided to reveal what happens. That makes me sick. When people write articles about movies, they don't tell you the ending! The media didn't give away the ending to 'Sixth Sense'. Why is it different for a book??
Now we Potter fans face a real danger of finding out the ending before we finish reading the book. We can avoid those media outlets that reveal the ending (680 stated they will not give away the ending, but will cover the story and let us know which media agencies are), but we can't avoid people talking about it on the subway. Those people who don't read the book and I assumed wouldn't bother searching the web for that leaked copy, now all have easy access to the ending. And most won't care about spoiling it.
I am soo angry.
