Another random assortment

1) I saw Transformers last night and it was amazing! Very funny and totally cool graphics. It was also cheesey and kinda predictable - but it was a summer blockbuster, so it was to be expected. Think Charles Angels - totally unrealistic, but very fun and totally doesn't take itself too seriously.

While I like this updated version, there are some things from our childhood I really don't think should be touched. Scooby Doo is a good example. That was totally unnecessary. Also ridiculous? An Alvin and the chipmunks feature length film. That's just wrong on soo many levels (Why are they updated and now from the 'hood? Why can't Jason Lee pick quality scripts? Where are their shoes? Those claws are nasty!). See the monstrosity here.

2) I'm 20 years old in Brain Age!! Wo-hoo!

3) My cousin, sister and I went to a movie early and played DS together while we waited. Fun times! Especially Big Brain Academy. One thing I've realized - I may be somewhat quick playing DS by myself, but I suck under pressure. I came in last in every category! Boo!

4) I am currently listening to Live365Radio over the net - the Radio 90's station to be exact. N'SYNC is playing. :) Love it. And even better? No chance of hearing that Umbrella song.

5) The Spice Girls are getting back together for a world tour. I'm not sure how I feel about that. At first I was excited. But then I watched their 8minute video talking about the tour and I realized - they are old! While they used to be fun, spunky and bubbly, they now just seem sad and desperate. Honestly? They look plasticky and, well, like a cougar. Makes me sad. That being said, I admit that if they had a Toronto date (which they don't - they have no Canadian dates) I'd probably buy tickets. :)

6) My mother is obsessed with watching Britain's Got Talent on YouTube. I admit that I've been impressed by the little girl and totally blown away by this guy. I heard he's got an album coming out soon. Hmm.. I hope in time for my mother's b.day. :) Funny how the American version isn't getting this type of hoopla.
