The Shoe that almost got away

I can't believe I FINALLY got the Rocket Dog Abby Fabric espadrilles!!
I first saw this shoe on my visit to NYC, at the DSW in Brooklyn. I loved the shoe - but they didn't have my size. We then searched another DSW near Union Square and again - no size. Why is size 6 always sold out so quickly??

Just this past Monday, I went shopping in Buffalo and hit the DSW at the Walden Galleria. As soon as I walked into the store, the first display I saw (which was closest to the entrance) was my shoe!! I thought it was a sign!! But alas.. no. They only had sizes 9 - 11. SO upsetting. I decided to get the same shoe in a solid brown instead. It wasn't the same, though still a beautiful shoe (also, it was a 6.5, so a good but not perfect fit).

My sister decided to go to Buffalo on Tuesday, after seeing the great stuff I picked up. And wouldn't you believe it? I get a call from her saying she found my shoe!! It was on one of the racks in the sale section at the back? She said the display in the front was gone, too. So in one day, they moved all my shoes to the sale section and suddenly unearthed a size 6 AND 7.

Well, needless to say, she bought me my size 6 (and she loved them so much, she bought the size 7!). Though I've bought other sandles this summer, this is definitely my favourite pair!!
