It's been a while since I've blogged - I've wanted to but I just don't have time. Since I can't seem to sleep right now, I'm going to take this opportunity to jot down a few thoughts! First topic on my list - New York!
Last weekend my girls and I flew to NYC to visit Kinski. The four of us together again - and I couldn't be happier. Though we didn't plan it, our trip coincidently happened the weekend after SATC opened. So we all promised not to see it on opening night (which you guys know is my favourite time to see movies) and see it in NYC! Very exciting! I was happy to see the movie there, but even happier to see it with my 3 best girlfriends!!
We did lots of shopping, but it was just too hot to do much else. A heat wave in NYC is NOTHING like the heat waves we have in Toronto. For some reason, it DOES NOT cool down in NYC at night! The temperature at 3am is the same as 3pm - Sizzling! I kept waking up in middle of the night soaked in sweat. Very uncomfortable. And it leaves you feeling sluggish, heavy and very, very sticky.
But even with all of that, I still loved it. Especially when we were all sitting around the (air conditioned) restaurants. At one point, we were having brunch at this great little place in SoHo and laughing our heads off. It was such a warm feeling. :)
I can't wait to go back!
