My GTA zones

I noticed a lot of you asked where exactly 'uptown' is. So I've decided to dedicate this blog post to listing the different 'zones' in my GTA. ;)

Downtown: South of Bloor
Where the cool people hang out. :) Where the restaurants open late. The parking prices are astranomical.

Uptown: North of Bloor, south of Lawrence
Not as bustling as downtown, but still full of great places to eat. Mom and pop shops, lots of grand old trees and where everyone seem to own a dog.

North of the City: North of Lawrence, south of Steeles
A few great places to eat, but not what I consider a good place to stroll and shop. It's only considered part of the 'city' because the subway heads up there.

Scarborough: Includes Markham, Richmond Hill, Thornhill and Scarborough
Great places to eat Chinese food. But you can only reach it with a car. Besides the Chinese food, everything seems to be franchises. Pac Mall is up there somewhere. So are a bunch of T&Ts. Everyone seems to own a Camry or Maxima. They are usually 'beige' or 'gold' coloured.
