I'm Raving about my new Rabbid.. er.. Rabbit

I actually still can't believe it but I've bought my first car! Well, actually, I've LEASED my first car - but to me it feels just as exciting. For the first time, I'm going to have Car Payments! And my name is listed on the contract.. which is so weird. Me, have a car?

The Boy and I started car shopping (well, that's not true - the Boy started car shopping while I was dress shopping) a while back since the lease on the Mazda was coming up in July. The Boy went test driving and was totally enamoured with the VW Rabbit. It wasn't my favourite car (it looks soo bland from the side), but it wasn't bad (the view from the front and back wasn't bad), but I liked that he liked it.

So this weekend, I came along to test drive the car. It was snowing, so I decided not to drive on the highway, but on the main streets, it was great. Admittedly, I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be looking for on a test drive, but since there was nothing to complain about, it was good! :)

My favourite features about the car (and this is how I really got sold on it):
1) There is an ipod dock in the glove compartment (no more staticky FM transmitters!)
2) The seat heaters are for the bum AND back
3) The seats are cloth (getting in a car with leather seats in the summer is NOT fun)
4) There are vents in the back seat so the car gets hotter or cooler faster
5) The CD player also plays MP3s
6) The headlights, when pointed to a wall, shows a 'VW' in the light! Kinda like a bat signal
7) The turning signal light is on the side mirrors. Tres cool.
8) AND FINALLY - since the Boy has to give up his standard for an automatic car, I'm told that this car has a really good tiptronic (spelling?), which means he can still use it as a standard car and shift gears. Some cars are really bad in this, but this tiptronic (spelling?) is apparently really good.

And so... I have a new car! We're picking it up in the second week of March, after we get back from HK! It's funny, because the first question I usually get after I tell people I got a new car is - 'what colour is it?'. Well, it's a very nice blue. I love my Matrix, so I think I'm dressing this Raving Rabbid in the same colour. :)

I'm so excited to decorate the car. The Boy only asks that I don't go too overboard. But then I point out, wasn't he excited to decorate his very first car.. when he was 16? Well, since this is my first car - you gotta indulge me a bit. Yay!

I hope I can find a Transformers Autobot Cling. Hmmm....
