I found My Dress!

I'm so excited!! I bought my wedding dress on Thursday! And I must say, I looove it.
I had been wedding dress shopping since September, and I actually found a bunch of dresses I really liked. Of the four, there was one I particularly liked. But I decided to keep going, and try on more dresses.

Since I'm only planning to get married once, I wanted to milk this experience for all its worth and try on more dresses (because honestly, wedding gowns make everyone look soooo nice). But my bridesmaid, Poon, had another theory. She told me she didn't think the dress I had found was 'The Dress'. Because she was sure if I had found 'The Dress', I'd just stop looking completely.

I wasn't sure about that and kept looking. Everything I found I compared to the dress from the first shop. So I really thought that meant I should buy the first dress. But when I went shopping this past weekend (at a store I've been trying to go go since Sept, but it never worked out due to inconvenient store times), and tried on my dress, I knew immediately it was ten times better than the first dress. I actually I found two dresses I liked better than the first.

But all along, I had a favourite. And when I went back with some of my bridesmaids, and slipped on the dress, I knew. I love it!! And I was so sure that I bought the dress immediately and cancelled my appointment at another really nice dress shop I was planning to visit that coming weekend.

I really wish I could wear it again right now. It's so pretty, I can't imagine just wearing it once. One idea is to have a party sometime after my wedding (perhaps around Sept 2009?) and we all wear wedding dresses or gowns while we sip champagne and eat fancy finger food. Yum!
